What is pretentious about trad music? I think you should explain if you are going to make a comment like that.
It's a grotesque comment. Pretentious is precisely what this music is not. No show-off nonsense, no putting themselves before the music - just great, highly competent and fully engaged playing. I love it and I wish there were more bands like this about.
